RPower Accelerates Solar Expansion in Portugal 🌞🇵🇹

Polish renewables developer RPower is making bold moves in the Portuguese renewable energy market, with plans to construct 43MW of solar capacity this year.

🌿 Strategic Projects Across Portugal

The company’s new projects, located in Paiao, Feira, and Trancoso, are part of an ambitious plan to build a 100MW solar portfolio in Portugal. These developments will add to RPower’s already impressive portfolio of nearly 50MW from eight solar farms in Terena, Serta, Mosteiros, Tremes, Alhais, Elvas, Macao, and Arada.

⚡ Near-Term Goals for 2025

By Q1 2025, RPower aims to commission an additional 10MW of capacity in Lagos and Portimao, further solidifying its leadership in the Portuguese market.

🌍 A Broader Vision for Iberia

According to Przemek Pięta, co-founder and CEO of RPower:
“Portugal is a key market in our development strategy. We are committed to building a total capacity of 100 MWp in this part of Europe and solidifying our position as the largest Polish investor in the renewable energy sector on the continent.”

The expansion doesn’t stop in Portugal. In Spain, RPower is starting construction on 23MWp of solar projects, expected to generate over 45GWh annually.

🌬️ Beyond Solar: Exploring Wind Energy

RPower is also diversifying its renewable energy portfolio with investments in battery energy storage systems and wind energy. The company plans to develop wind assets with a capacity of 25MW, showcasing its commitment to a multi-faceted green energy approach.
