ESB Marks Milestone With First Power Export From 108MW Timahoe: A New Era Of Clean Energy

Timahoe North Solar Farm: A Major Step Towards a Greener Future

ESB, a leading Irish energy company, has achieved a major milestone with the first export of power from its 108MW Timahoe North solar farm in County Kildare, Ireland. This marks a significant step forward in the company’s commitment to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2040. The Timahoe North solar farm is the first large-scale solar project to be delivered as part of ESB’s co-development agreement with Bord na Móna. This agreement aims to develop up to 500MW of solar energy across Ireland.

“We are delighted to announce the successful commissioning of the Timahoe North solar farm,” said Pat O’Doherty, ESB’s Chief Executive Officer. “This project is a testament to our commitment to investing in renewable energy and playing a leading role in the transition to a low-carbon economy.” Once fully operational, the Timahoe North solar farm will generate enough green electricity to power approximately 25,000 Irish homes. This will help to reduce Ireland’s reliance on fossil fuels and contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable future. ESB is committed to developing and operating renewable energy projects across Ireland. The company is also investing in other low-carbon technologies, such as wind energy and energy storage. #SolarPower #RenewableEnergy #GreenIreland #SustainableFuture #NetZero2040 #CleanEnergy #RenewableEnergy #SolarPower #GreenFuture #NetZero2040 #SustainableIreland #ESB #BordnaMóna #SolarEnergy #Kildare
