About the Role:

As the AI Ethics and Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our AI ethics framework, policies, and procedures. You will work closely with engineering, data science, legal, and other teams to ensure our AI systems comply with ethical guidelines, regulations, and best practices.This role requires a deep understanding of AI governance, risk management, regulatory frameworks, and ethical considerations in AI deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ethical AI Governance:
  • Develop and implement policies, guidelines, and best practices for ethical AI development and deployment.
  • Ensure AI systems are free from bias, discrimination, and other ethical risks.
• Compliance Oversight:
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local and international regulations related to AI, data privacy, and ethics (e.g., GDPR, AI Act).
  • Conduct regular audits of AI systems and processes to identify and mitigate risks.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Work with internal teams to integrate ethical considerations into AI project lifecycles.
  • Advise senior management on AI ethics and compliance matters.
• Training and Awareness:
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on ethical AI practices and compliance requirements.
  • Foster a culture of responsibility and accountability in AI development.
• Risk Management:
  • Identify and assess potential ethical and compliance risks in AI projects.
  • Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
• External Engagement:
  • Stay updated on global AI ethics trends, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Represent Norbida Limited in industry forums and discussions on AI ethics.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Ethics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Experience in AI governance, ethics, or compliance roles within a corporate, governmental, or academic setting.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies, machine learning principles, and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, AI Act).
• Familiarity with AI ethics frameworks such as the OECD AI Principles, IEEE Ethically Aligned Design, or similar.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and provide strategic guidance.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including legal, technical, and business units.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in AI ethics, compliance, or data privacy (e.g., CIPP, CIPM, AI Governance certifications).
• Experience working in industries with high regulatory oversight, such as healthcare, finance, or government.
• Background in risk assessment and mitigation strategies for AI models.
