European Energy partners on the onshore drive of 800MW Scots

European Energy, a Danish renewable energy firm, is collaborating with Scottish clean power developer Locogen to deliver an onshore wind portfolio of 800 MW in Scotland.

The collaboration will combine European Energy's knowledge and resources with Locogen's local expertise.

Over the next five years, they plan to build projects totalling a minimum of 800 MW.

"Daniel Badcock, Managing Director of European Energy Growth, said: "Scotland is an excellent location for our rapidly expanding UK subsidiary to be located and we truly believe in the future of onshore wind in Scotland.

We are proud to help Scottish jobs and the green sector with Locogen, where we have found a good long-term growth partner.

"We look forward to working together over the coming years to generate hundreds of megawatts of subsidy-free onshore wind projects in Scotland."

Andrew Lyle, Chief Executive of Locogen, said: "Locogen is pleased to be partnering with European Energy to expand our Scottish growth pipeline in collaboration."

"We have found a partner in European Energy that shares our confidence in the long-term value of onshore wind power generation in Scotland, built safely with communities and at the heart of our climate."
