PACE’s largest UK solar site at 23MW takes move forwards
A major move forward has been taken by UK-based developer Pathfinder Clean Energy's (PACE) biggest project in the world.
The business is submitting planning permission after the conclusion of the group consultation for the 23MWp ground-mounted solar scheme near Attleborough, 15 miles south-west of Norwich, Norfolk.
The site will use bi-facial panels collocated with energy storage, with PACE pointing to a 9 percent rise in electricity output compared to conventional PV technologies, according to its report.
The application of the planning permission for the first two subsidy-free sites of PACE in the UK in October follows. Three Bridges and Burgate are solar and storage sites that together have a total capacity of 40 MWp and are located in Norfolk as well.
"Alex Ross, director of PACE Developments in the UK, said the solar pipeline of the company's utility scale will continue to grow, and where they will be collocated with battery storage "the economic stand-up.
