Sonnedix Acquires Italian Solar Portfolio

Global solar independent power producer (IPP) Sonnedix has acquired Italian photovoltaic portfolio owned by the Solarig Group.

The 22.3MW portfolio, located in the seven Italian regions of Molise, Piedmont, Calabria, Abruzzo, Marche, Lazio and Puglia, comprises eighteen photovoltaic plants under the Italian Conto Energia (feed-in tariff) scheme.

Watson Farley & Williams advised Sonnedix on the corporate, authorisation, regulatory and finance matters, throughout the due diligence phase and up to the definition of the appropriate contractual and negotiation tools relating to the acquisition.

Sonnedix has over 4GW of total controlled capacity worldwide, and with these acquisitions now has 276MW of operational assets in Italy.
