New Green Homes Grant offers up to £10,000 for energy efficiency measures
The government is offering funding of up to £10,000 to support the installation of energy efficiency measures in homes across England. The new £2 billion Green Homes Grant will see the government fund up to two-thirds of the cost of the improvements of more than 600,000 homes, which will include measures such as insulation, heat pumps, draft proofing as well as heat pumps and solar thermal. Under the initiative, builders, plumbers and other tradespeople must register for TrustMark or MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) accreditation to provide their services for the measures, which are expected to help families save up to £600 a year on...
